Data

Pellucid captures literally hundreds of data sources, but not all are free to the public. The public hospital view accessible below includes the following measures derived from national and state data sets (links take you to the wiki). To get a high level sense of what’s available, visit http://pellucid.ipro.org/catalogs/index

Our wiki has a comprehensive list of measures in pellucid – https://sites.google.com/a/ipro.us/pelliki/home/qualitymine/category-measures-catalogue

We also store AHA IDs and can provide Annual Survey data in Pellucid format, if you have an AHA Annual Survey license we can help you arrange adding AHA fields to the data set.

All indicators are joined by a unique entity_id, so you can easily grab data in the exact same format for any or all of the categories. If you don’t see what you want then give us a call or buzz us on the discussion list, we may not have had the chance to upload it to the Public View yet.

Web Access

We offer two ways to access the Pellucid data live:

  • Pellucid Views is a user-friendly data viewer that allows search queries, easy pivots, and CSV downloads. This is the best method for smaller data queries or quick fix searches. It’s also a great way to get to know the data.
  • Pellucid DBA is geared toward the advanced user, and allows control over your Views database. For those familiar, it is a phpMyAdmin interface and allows you to run SQL queries directly.

All public data is available by logging in as user “public” with the password “tryloyw” – this will get you the bulk of the most-requested data measures. If you need additional data, or you wish to store your own data in the warehouse, please contact us using support@ipro.us

Dave has a primer for first time users here, and you can of course hit the pellucid-discuss list with questions. All tables and fields are described in detail on the Pellucid Wiki.

License

We’re using a CC license while we figure out the best way to do this, in the meantime you are free to use the public data in commercial apps or in your commercial Web development, but you cannot directly sell the data itself. We understand you need to get paid to make report cards, but you can’t just take what we have and sell it to someone else.

We take privacy very seriously. If you believe there is anything in the Public View that shouldn’t be there, please let us know by E-mailing us at support@ipro.us
