Clinical data portals and Performance Assessment Organizations (PAOs) may be the new buzzwords for physician recognition and increased profit margin in the pay for performance (P4P) market. In a new program launched by Bridges to Excellence (BTE), physicians may submit quality measurement and performance assessment data through a web portal for evaluation and scoring. Registration is free, though assessments require a small processing fee.
Bridges to Excellence is a not-for-profit organization developed by employers, physicians, health care service providers, researchers, and other industry experts with a mission to create significant leaps in the quality of care by recognizing and rewarding health care providers who demonstrate that they have implemented comprehensive solutions in the management of patients and deliver safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered care.
