Hi, and welcome to the IPRO eServices blog. The eServices team is primarily concerned with health care data transparency, and this blog will chronicle some of our findings and efforts as we launch our two main products: Pellucid and CLAIRE.
Pellucid is a data warehouse whose sole purpose is to acquire data from hundreds of disparate, non-standard data sources and merge it into a single format ready for use by data analysts anywhere or be pushed onto Web publishing platforms. CLAIRE is an interpretive Web platform that publishes select data and visualises it for consumption.
Back in 2002, IPRO published a small but interesting Web -based Pneumonia Report Card, which allowed hospitals to view their own data on pneumonia-related mortalities compared to blinded hospitals in their region. Right around then, we also took the New York HMO report card and put that online for the first time.
